Hoka's terrain-oriented workhorse has received a major makeover from top to bottom. Lower weight and better grip - we like that!
Still Vibram Megagrip rubber in the outsole (5 mm depth), but now with small spikes on the knobs that provide even better friction when the surface is soft and damp. The midsole has become lighter, and feels more resilient (similar to the EVO SPEEDGOAT). A wide platform to stand on, while the foot rests safely under a form of good stability and lots of comfort.
The upper is 100% vegan and has a recycled double jacquard mesh that provides good foot support and lots of comfort. Around the toe box there is a protective strip in rubberized material. The whole part has been given the innovative and anatomical Achilles construction to give the tendon maximum comfort and support, while also making it easy to get into the shoe.
Despite its bulky sole, the Hoka One One Speedgoat 5 is a flexible shoe suitable for most distances on the terrain. It handles everything from relatively demanding terrain to dirt roads. Speedgoat is and will be many people's first choice on varied and long trips in forests and mountains.
